S. Michael Scheeringa Chief Executive Officer
S. Michael Scheeringa serves as Flight Options' Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Flight Options in 2004, Scheeringa served as US Airways' Vice President, Express Division. At US Airways, he had previously held a series of officer-level positions managing the areas of customer service, operations and corporate planning, in addition to overseeing the MetroJet and the US Airways Shuttle divisions. Scheeringa, who has more than 18 years experience in the aviation industry, holds a Bachelor of Science in Transportation and Logistics Management from Arizona State University.
Sanjay Aggarwal Chief Operating Officer
Sanjay Aggarwal is responsible for leading Flight Options' Maintenance, Flight Operations, Operations Control Center, Operations Planning, Owner Services, Aircraft Acquisitions/Management, and Information Technology functions. Sanjay has more than 16 years of experience in the aviation, hospitality and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining Flight Options in 2004, Sanjay worked for Marriott International and US Airways. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering as well as an MBA and a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering/Operations Research.
Bruce C. Boyle Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Bruce Boyle serves as Flight Options' Chief Financial Officer. He has over 30 years of financial management experience, including 12 years at the chief financial officer level. Bruce has worked for major corporations, including, Wayne-Dalton Corp. and subsidiaries of Raytheon Company and Rockwell International. He received his MBA from the University of Chicago, Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Carnegie Mellon University; and served as first lieutenant in the United States Army Reserve. Bruce has served as President and member of the Board of Directors for the Buckeye Council, Boy Scouts of America.
D. Russell Hood
Vice President and General Counsel
Rusty Hood manages all facets of the Legal, Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs functions at Flight Options. Most recently, Mr. Hood served for eight years as Senior Legal Counsel with TravelCenters of America in Cleveland. Prior to that, he served for two years as Corporate Counsel for The Scott Fetzer Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. Before joining Scott Fetzer, Rusty was in private practice as a trial lawyer for seven years with law firms in Cleveland, OH and Rochester, NY, focusing primarily on business, corporate and employment litigation and counseling. He earned his Juris Doctor from The Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1991 and received his BA in English, with honors, from The College of Wooster in 1988. He is an active member of the Association of Corporate Counsel – America (ACC) and the Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS).
Ralph Knull
Vice President, Human Resources and Labor Relations
Ralph Knull leads the Company’s initiatives toward creating a complete service experience for all Team members. His role encompasses human resources and labor relations. Most recently, Mr. Knull served, first, as Director of Human Resources and, subsequently, as Director of Legal Affairs at Sysco Food Services of Cleveland, Inc., where he was responsible for all human resources, legal, labor relations, workers’ compensation and miscellaneous other liability matters. Prior to holding these roles, he was an Attorney at the Cleveland law firm of Hahn, Loeser & Parks, where he practiced in the areas of employment, labor and corporate law. Ralph’s academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University College of Law, a Masters of Business Administration from Cleveland State University and a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Baldwin-Wallace College.
Philip LaVelle
Vice President, Sales and Marketing
Philip LaVelle serves as Flight Options' Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining Flight Options, he served as Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, for Wayne-Dalton Corporation, a leading manufacturer of residential and commercial overhead doors. He was responsible for all domestic and international sales and marketing with independent dealers, national accounts, major retailers and company-owned distribution centers. Prior to this role, Philip held senior management-level positions with PrimeSource Building Products, Inc., an Itochu Inc. subsidiary and Builder Marts of America, a Guardian Industries, Inc. subsidiary. He received a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Finance from the Ohio State University and attended an Executive Management Program in association with the Wharton School of Finance.
