Flight Options Initiates Sixth Shared Jet Ownership Program

Flight Options adds 4 Citation III mid-size jets to its fleet of aircraft

Flight Options announced the addition of the Cessna Citation III mid-size aircraft program to its fleet.  Flight Options, Inc., the fastest growing nationally available fractional jet ownership program, has begun pre-sales on the Citation III and will begin customer operations in the Citation III by August 1, 2000.

Kenn Ricci, Flight Options Chairman and CEO said, “We have learned from our customers that they are motivated by the aircraft cabin which is why we chose to include the Citation III in our program—It offers the same size cabin as a Cessna Citation Excel at approximately 35% savings in share purchase price.  Basically, our Citation III program will offer our owners a mid-size jet at a light jet price.”

President of Flight Options, Darnell Martens stated, “In comparison to a Citation Ultra or a Learjet 45, the Citation III is more plane.”  Rich Heckman, VP Marketing & Sales agreed, “Compared to the Citation Ultra, the Citation III has better range, better performance and a bigger cabin—all for the same price.”

The Citation III offers passenger seating for seven and contains 438 cubic feet in cabin volume.  Its range is approximately 1713 statute miles.  A quarter share of a Citation III will be priced at $1.67 million in the Flight Options program.

As of May 1st, Flight Options’ aircraft fleet numbered 74 including:  9 Citation II, 25 Beechjet, 4 Citation III, 19 Hawker 800A, 6 Falcon 50 and 11 Challenger aircraft.

Flight Options began operations in October 1998 and features fractional ownership programs for previously owned business jets. Flight Options, Inc. is a subsidiary of Flight Options International, Inc., located in Cleveland, Ohio.  Flight Options operates with an emphasis on bringing value-added jets to the fractional ownership market."
