The 2,000th Owner Joins Flight Options Program

Young Internet Entrepreneur Looks to Speed Up His Travel Connections

Sacramento businessman Brad Jenkins is someone who deals with speed everyday.  As founder and president of Option 1 Communications, Jenkins operates one of California’s largest competitive local exchange carriers, providing business operations to Internet service providers throughout the state.  Recently, Jenkins added speed, cost-effectiveness and convenience – not just to the Internet, but to his travel schedule as well - becoming the 2,000th owner to enroll in Flight Options’ fractional aircraft program.

The flexibility between Flight Options’ many programs and the pricing are what led Jenkins to become Flight Options 2,000th owner.

“The cost and inconvenience of charters was becoming too much,” said the 32 year-old Jenkins.  “Now I can travel at my own pace, when I want to travel.  I don’t have to worry about being charged for minimum hours or scheduling days or weeks in advance.”

Jenkins bought 1/16th share in a Flight Options’ CitationJet, a popular program that began operation in April of 2001.  He said he became familiar with the fractional concept when traveling with a friend who was an owner with the former Raytheon Travel Air.

“There are great advantages being a fractional owner, especially in the Flight Options program,” said Jenkins.  “The service is outstanding, the pilots are friendly and the jets are immaculate.”

Jenkins says his Citation also serves as a meeting room in the sky.  “I travel frequently up and down the coast for presentations and I bring members of my team to help me prepare.  When I used charter jets, the cost of bringing more people became prohibitive.”

Founded in 1998, Flight Options pioneered the concept of offering more value in fractional aircraft.  The company typically provides a cost savings of 35% on comparable programs offered by their competitors, opening private jet travel to a broader audience.  Flight Options offers fractional shares in its fleet of over 200 aircraft, which includes the world’s largest fleets of Beechjet 400A’s and Hawker 800’s.  The fleet also includes the CitationJet, Citation Ultra, Citation 650, Hawker 800XP, Falcon 50, Citation X, Challenger 601 and Gulfstream IV."
