Flight Options, Inc. Opens General Aviation’s Most Sophisticated Operational Control Center

February 15, 1999 (Cleveland, Ohio) – Today, Flight Options, Inc. the first and only nationally-available pre-owned jet ownership program, announced the grand opening of the state-of-the-art operational control center.

The center, located at the Cuyahoga County Airport, utilizes the latest in design and computer technology to monitor and track the Flight Options’ fleet of jet aircraft" "Flight Options President, Darnell Martens said, “ The operations control center was designed to accommodate a fleet of 300 aircraft.  Flight Options utilizes technology-enabled software specifically formulated for our fractional ownership products.  The center is ergonomically designed with a sophisticated array of projector screens, which enable employees to quickly determine the status of a flight.  The software, a combination of AIS, Miller Information Technologies and Flight Option’s proprietary software is perhaps the most advanced in the general aviation industry.”   Marten’s indicated the company studied the Delta Air Line’s Atlanta- based operations center and NASA’s Houston based shuttle control center during the planning process.  

Flight Options, which was introduced in October 1998 at the NBAA convention in Las Vegas, Nev. currently operates Citation II, Beechjet 400A, Hawker 800A and Challenger 601aircraft.  Today, the company along with its parent, Corporate Wings, Inc., operates a fleet of more than 50 jets.
