Richard W. Heckman Signs as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Flight Options

September 15, 1998 (Cleveland, Ohio) – Richard W. Heckman has  accepted the position of Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Flight Options, Inc., announced Darnell H. Martens, President. Flight Options, Inc. is the first and only nationally-available, fractional jet ownership program to offer the option of previously-owned aircraft at substantial cost savings to corporations and individuals.


“We are extremely pleased to have Rich on board,” said Mr. Martens. “His depth of experience is a welcome addition to Flight Options.”

In his new position, Mr. Heckman will be responsible for formulating sales and marketing strategies, aircraft acquisition, and aircraft refurbishment and configuration.  He most recently served as Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Raytheon Travel Air, the fractional ownership division of Raytheon Aircraft Company. There he was also responsible for worldwide pre-owned aircraft sales and acted as Director of the Resale Group. He previously was associated with Stevens Aviation, a chain of FBOs based in Greenville, SC.

Mr. Heckman has served as Vice President of the National Aircraft Resale Association (NARA) and as a committee member for the National Air Transportation Association (NATA).
A graduate of Ohio State University in Columbus, OH, he has a degree in marketing and aviation management. Mr. Heckman is the holder of an Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, and a multi-engine and instrument flight instructor rating, with more than 5,800 hours.
