Flight Options Tops Weatherhead 100 Centurion List

Flight Options is recognized as Case Western Reserve University’s fastest growing “Weatherhead 100” company

CLEVELAND, OH (December 8, 2000) -- Flight Options, Inc., the nation’s premier national fractional jet program offering shares in previously owned aircraft, has been named to the “Weatherhead 100,” Northeast Ohio’s most prestigious business list.  Flight Options also heads the select ‘Weatherhead Centurion” list -- which honors companies with largest growth in sales from 1995 - 1999.

Selected annually by Case Western Reserve University’s (CWRU) Weatherhead School of Management, the “Weatherhead 100” recognizes the top 100 businesses (with headquarters in Northeast Ohio) that have demonstrated sustained growth in sales performance in the past five years.  Companies with sales of more than $100,000 in 1995 and more than $1 million in 1999, and an employee base of more than 16 full-time staff in 1999, were eligible for the 2000 list.

The “Weatherhead Centurion” list honors those companies of the “100” that have increased their sales by 100% or more over the last five years, with net sales of $100 million or more.  Flight Options’ sales have grown by 1,174% from 1995 - 1999.  And in just one year, sales jumped from $109 million in 1998 to $292 million in 1999.

The Weatherhead School of Management has compiled the “Weatherhead 100” study for the past 13 years.  CWRU is one of the nation’s major independent research universities and is the largest private research university in Ohio.

Flight Options, Inc. began its pre-owned fractional program in October 1998 and announced its 500th customer in October 2000, making it the fastest growing fractional jet program.  The company operates with an emphasis on bringing pre-owned jets to the fractional ownership market.  Flight Options offers fractional shares in its fleet of 82 aircraft, which includes the Citation II, Beechjet 400A, Citation III, Hawker 800, Falcon 50, Challenger 601 and Gulfstream IV."
